A look behind the scenes.

Our company outing was not just for fun, but also had an educational aspect. In addition to the regular visit to the exhibition and a hike “around the world”, we ventured behind the scenes of the Klimahaus. In the technical tour, we were given insights into the power supply (via our own solar panels and local district heating) and cooling systems that cool various areas of the Klimahaus to the appropriate temperature. We were able to sniff into the small box that feeds the individual areas with the unique smells and learned about the ventilation systems.

Some facts about the Klimahaus (as of September 2021):

• 11,500 square metres of exhibition space

• About 140 employees

• 464 of the 770 concrete piles are energy piles and regulate e.g. the temperature

• CO₂ balance of the Climate House is less than 300 grams per visitor (Curious for more facts?).

12 and 13 September 2022: The 4th UFP Symposium will take place in Berlin, ENVILYSE will also be there. In the spirit of ultrafine particles, which will be the topic of the symposium, we will be there to provide advice on our particle measuring instruments.
