Fine dust accompanies us every day, regardless of the area in which we work or live. It is produced, for example, in combustion processes, in ovens, fireplaces and power plants, but also through brake and tyre abrasion. Ultra-fine particles with a diameter of less than 100 nm are a special form of fine dust. The extent to which these have an influence on climate and health is one of the topics of the UFP Symposium.

The UFP Symposium has been held regularly at TU Berlin since 2016 and invites experts from various fields. Lectures on current research results and results of measurement campaigns in outdoor air and indoor spaces are presented. Some manufacturers of UFP measurement technology are also on site and exhibit their devices.
